Suggest Treatment For Side Effect Of Prolonged Use Of Cardezem
I have been on 180mg of cardezem for 8 years because of hypertension, I have developed a white cast over the eyebrow and around mouth. Three weeks ago the doctor upped my dose to 240mg and I noticed last night when I washed my face that my nose felt sore and was blistering and noticed the white cast seems to be creeping to my nose and chin. I am 68 years old and quite active.

Hello and thank you for your question. While cardizem can sometimes cause a rash, I am not sure that the white cast you describe is related to this mediction. It sounds like you need to have your doctor do a skin biopsy and find out the cause of this discoloration. I hope you can get an answer soon.
