Suggest Treatment For Shoulder Pain Due To Vertebrae Problem Near Neck
I have a couple of bad vertebrae in my neck that from time to time cause me pain down into my shoulder. I am getting massage therapy for this condition and it helps very much. I have heard a lot about taking Glucosamine & Condfroitin and took it in the past until I read a study saying it does no good for you. Is this true or is it worth taking? Ed
Massage therapy together with oral and local analgesics are excellent solutions to your neck pain.
With regards to Glucosamine and Chondroitin, please take note that they are natural components of the cartilages of body joints. Taking as supplements are advised in cases of osteoarthritis where the cartilage is already damaged or inflamed. Only few side effects have been reported to their use.
If you do not want to continue taking as supplements, you can increase consumption of fish like shellfish, which are rich in natural glucosamine. While, shark or bovine cartilage are rich in chondroitin.
Hope it was of help! Dr.Albana
