Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had pain in my wrist for 3-4 weeks. No sweliing .When I bend my wrist downward , it is very painful. Not as much so going upwards. I ve used ice, and heat. The only thing that seems to help is rest. Unfortunately, I work with my hands. This is when the pain is at it s worse. Could it be a slight fracture? Thanks, MG.
You do not give any history of trauma, If you have some history of trauma then there are chances of wrist bone fractures, but usually they have swelling. In your case it seems there is some non traumatic cause. these can range from Keinbocks disease, where the blood circulation in one of you wrist bone stops. other similar conditions can also occur. you need to get an x ray done and proper screening by a Hand Surgeon.
