General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Sever itching in the vagina could be due to vaginal infection like fungal, lichen planus, contact dermatitis, vulvovaginits.
Vaginal examination by the gynecologist and vaginal swab test. vaginal cell microscopy will help in the diagnosis.
Doctor will give following advises:
Single dose of the azithromycin + tinidazole + fluconazole
Vaginal suppository of clotrimazole and lactobacillus
Apply mild steroid ointment and vagisil cream
Wash vagina with warm salted water 2-3 times per day
Wear pure cotton loose inner and maintain proper pelvic hygiene
Drink plenty of water and take healthy diet
Hope this may help you
