My upper chest area hurts after I talk for 10 minutes. It is like a combo of being sore and a tickle in my lungs. Went to ER, Seems bloodwork and heart checks and x rays are all clear. They gave me medicine for acid reflux. It is helping, but sore sick feeling still there if I talk or drink water. I just got back from a speaking tour with a lot of yelling and drinking at events. Been about 10 days now feeling like this. Seems to be getting better when not talking, but when talking the discomfort shows up.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. No need to worry for heart diseases as your reports are normal. You are improving with acid reflux treatment, so possibility of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is more. Along with drugs, you need to follow these lifestyle modifications for better symptomatic relief. 1. Avoid hot and spicy food. 2. Avoid stress and tension. 3. Quit smoking and Alcohol. 4. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bed to prevent reflux. 5. Go for walking after meals. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
