Suggest Treatment For Severe Tiredness, Dizziness And Nausea

I was diagnosed with strep on Monday, I was put on Ceftin. The Pharmacy gave me the generic drug. I m now extremely tired all the time, dizzy and nauseous.. is this just a side effect or something else? I also have a runny nose, sneezing and a headache.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Tiredness, dizziness, nausea can all be secondary to infection caused by streptococcus.

I suggest you complete the course of antibiotic and take rest. If the symptoms remain the same or increase in intensity after completion of the course of antibiotic then you may need to consult your primary healthcare provider again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
