Suggest Treatment For Severe Throat Pain

My family has a history of thyroid cancer and I have started thinking about it. This has happened a few times where I yawn and then I feel pain in my throat around the middle of my neck on the left side of my throat. It is there for a few minutes then goes away. It has happened a couple of times from yawning and I keep feeling my throat because I m nervous. I have notice popping and a crunching sound when moving my adam s apple. I am not sure whether I should get myself checked out or not.

Hi.
Getting checked for thyroid cancer when there is strong family history of thyroid cancer is the best thing you have thought about.
First of all rememer a simple thing, cancers are always painless to start with, hence your having pain does not fit into cancer.
Secondly, the crackling noise is absolutely normal noise called as posterior larymgeal crackle, again is not a sign of vancer, on the contrary its presence is a good sign..
Hence stop worrying unnecessarily, get clinical examination done and ultrasonography of the neck.
Get assured.
