Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach Pain And Vomiting In A Child

My 3 year old grandson has developed severe stomach pain and vomiting every night a couple hours after dinner. This has been going on for about a week. Pediatrician has found no cause - no virus, etc. He eats dinner, gets sleepy and falls asleep and then wakes up screaming and then vomits.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear. There can be possibility of worm infestation which is most common cause of stomach pain in children. Ask your pediatrician if the grandchild has to be given deworming tablet or syrup.

But if it is not subsiding other causes have to be ruled out namely
1. Constipation
2. Gas
3. Food allergy or intolerance
4. Heartburn or acid reflux
5. Stomach flu or food poisoning
6. Colic or urinary stones
7. Air swallowing

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
