A very dear friend recently had an episode bleeding from the rectum, In the past he had a colon cancer and recovered. The hospital gave him a colonoscopy, negative. Then a test for the upper body, negative. Then told his wife a would do another test, when I spoke to her still nothing from Drs. His blood is fine blood pressure is fine. This man should be in the medical books! what could other problems could cause this?

Dear- thanks for using our service. Sometimes we can have patients with normal colonoscopy and blood work but with rectal bleeding. There is a condition that is intestinal ischemia that can cause this and negative colonoscopy. The diagnose is by nuclear studies that can see signs of occult bleeding in the intestine. You might recommend to your friend to get a second opinion.
I hope that my advise will be helpful
