Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Post Total Knee Replacement Surgery

I had a total knee replacement one week ago and during PT today I was asked to do several ex resizes and a few of them caused me severe pain a level10 I pushed through excessive and when I arrived home the pain level has been crazy. I had a total knee done on the opposite leg and don t remember anything like this. Do I go to my surgeon and explain, or tell pt therapist, or jut refuse to do the ones that cause the pain?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Significant amount of pain during physiotherapy is not normal and may be secondary to underlying inflammation, ligament problem or else. Avoiding painful exercises are not the resolution of the complain, rather consult your operating ortho surgeon immediately for evaluation and guidelines in best possible manner.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
