Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Forearms

I had ORIF surgery a year ago for a broken distal radius and dislocated ulna. After 8 weeks with a subcutaneous k-wire and subsequent coag negative staph infection in the pin site, I suffered severe wrist stiffness and nerve pain. My strength came back. The screws in my internal plate were palpable in my forearm and caused severe pain when gripping. I had the screws replaced 9 mo. after the original surgery. After 6 months, I still have swelling in the scar site and occasional pain when gripping. The tendons don t slide smoothly against my radius and I can feel grinding and catching. Should I have the plate and remaining screws removed?
