Suggest Treatment For Severe Menstrual Bleeding And Constipation

I have been having menstrual heavy bleeding on and off now for the last two years. this time when I started bleeding again heavily, I noticed that I was also extremely constipated. here I was pushing and pushing, not extremely hard, but for long periods of time. Nothing or very little would come out of my rectal area. so at one point I decided to just try and dig it out with my gloved finger! When I did this, there wasn t any fecal matter on my finger, it turned out to be a blood clot I had worked out of my rectum. so now my vagina and my rectal area are bleeding. What could maybe be the cause of this? I am scared to death. Please help me. thank you so much. Sincerely, LaDonna Swaim

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
In the current scenario, you need an immediate examination by an expert. Local examination of the rectum as well as the vagina should be carried out to exclude local lesions, infections, polyps and take specimens and swabs for tests wherever needed. Also, hormone assays and a pelvic/trans-vaginal sonogram help to clarify the situation further. You would also need blood counts and urinalysis and also coagulation profile. Styptics and hormones are needed to arrest the bleeding. Try to increase dietary fiber and if needed stool softeners to soften the stool. Hope this helps.
