Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Pelvic Pain

I have severe low pelvic pain. 1 inch above public hair front both sides. Since October 2015, random shooting pain, since January this year, excruciating. A urologist says I m fine even though the pain relieves some after peeing and this started with having to pee bad but now I don t ever have to pee, just pain or more pain. A gynecologist neglected to take a history or do a pelvic exam instead of a vaginal exam. He says it s hormones. I am 38, smoker, (my father survived colon cancer 7 years ago when in his fifties), was on depo shot for 16 years then iud for two. I begged people to take the iud out for all of February this year, someone did finally but no relief. I have never been sexually abused am in a great relationship getting married in January and wanting children right away. There are other odd things like ankle and feet swelling and a rash in my face and neck that comes and goes, fatigue and my knees ankles and wrists sometimes ache. Any ideas? Please tell me what tests to ask for at which doctor. Thanks.

Hi,

For cramping from diarrhea, medicines that have loperamide (Imodium) or bismuth subsalicylate (Kaopectate or Pepto-Bismol) might make you feel better. For other types of pain, acetaminophen (Aspirin Free Anacin, Liquiprin, Panadol, Tylenol) might be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monish De, Oncologist
