Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 60 year old female. In November of 2015, I had a heart attack and subsequent triple bypass. Then two weeks ago, I had another cardiac catheterization at which time 3 stents were placed in my arteries because two of my graphs failed. Yesterday, I began having severe lower back pain. Today, the pain was even worse. Could this be related to the stent placement?
No. This cannot be related to your angioplasty and stent placement. Any stent blockage and cardiac dysfunction usually presents as feet edema, difficulty in breathing, pain in the chest, upper abdomen, left hand, fatigue, perspiration, nausea and vomiting.
Kindly take some NSAID like Advil for pain and see your clinician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
