Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello it may sound silly but it really struggles me a lot. I m an athlete so somtimes I have to be on trips for competitions or training camps. I haven t had sex in the past month and my girlfriend is not with me. Yesterday I failed to control that desire I just couldn t focus on anything. So I masturbated. However I felt the lack of strength and energy today. I ate and slept well, I even ate more foods containing zinc in particular. I don t know why my legs are so weak that I can hardly pump up and sprint like usual. I read some articles saying masturbation is not bad for physical activity and muscle. But I just don t feel right. Could you please give me your expertise on whether it is good for my body? Is there a really difference between sex and masturbation? How can I recover from it? Please, I m really confused.

Hi,
A single &moderate masturbation is not likely to cause the symptoms you have. I would suggest getting a testosterone blood level check &get replacement as per need. Please consult a urologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
