Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain After Child Birth
I am 22 years old. As of last monday I weighed 256lbs and I am 5foot 6inches. I am 1month post pardum from my unplanned C-section for my 7lb little girl. I have been having extreme knee pain. Is this normal? When should I be concerned? It hurts even to sit. I do exercise and I push the baby in her stroller for walks when the weather is nice. It has been raining so hard here the last few days I haven t been able to walk. Please help I am some pretty severe pain and I don t know what to do.
Noted the history about a patient who had C-Section one month ago and now have severe pain in knee joint. The knee joint pain could have been due to local causes in knee joint and structures around it. Hence I would advise you the following : Take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen if it suits you. Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for clinical examination and evaluation. Relevant tests of blood. MRI of the affected knee joint will give an appropriate diagnosis. This will allow the proper management as per the cause found. Till then take rest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
