Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Having really bad knee and leg pains. Fell on my knee a couple weeks ago. Xray showed no bones broken or anything. Had to work while knee still in pain, causing more pain and spreading to claf and upper leg muscles. All very tender to touch. What could be wrong?
It is possible that you have a soft tissue injury, such as a sprain or strain, or a contusion (bruise) to the knee or leg muscles. In general, the treatment consists of resting, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE) can help reduce pain and swelling associated with injuries. Over-the-counter pain medications such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen can also help relieve pain.
In your case, since the pain is spreading and becoming more severe, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible. It is important not to ignore the pain or wait too long to seek treatment, as this can lead to further complications and prolong the healing process.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
