Suggest Treatment For Severe Joint Pain While On Arimidex
Hi Dr. Rynne, I have been taking Arimidex since May of 2016. I am experiencing joint pain, especially in my hands and knees. Hips and back a bit less severely. I went off it on January 6th and I m not feeling any better. Now my oncologist is suggesting putting me on Tamoxifen. I m concerned about joint pain and damage. What do you suggest?

It can be an early sign of arthritis.
As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
