Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching On The Thighs

Hi...Kerosine fell on my thighs due to an accident.. I was not able to change my clothes immediately and after 6 hrs I bath and changed my clothes. After a week, now I'm feeling itching on those places... Is there any treatment we can do..please suggest..

Thanks for the query..

It looks like due to exposure of the skin of your thighs to kerosene that too for a long time is causing chemical irritation of the skin..

Due to irritation there is itching of the skin causing Dermatitis..

So my suggestion is to wash the areas with mild soap and water.
Apply Calamine or Caladryl lotion over the itchy areas to soothe the skin and reduce itching.
Take anti allergics like Benadryl.
Do cool compresses..

In case if still there is no improvement in 3-4 days consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
