I am sexually active, the last time I ve had sex it was pretty rough, so could that be it? The tear of the skin and the itch is coming from it healing? what could I use to stop the itchy feeling? it seems to be worse at night and early mornings. PLEASE HELP IT S ANNOYING. what could I use and be healed. Please help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
I understand your concern.
The thick white discharge along with severe itching is typical of Trichomonal ( a protozoa) infection. Please get vaginal swab test to confirm.
Usually I give FLuconazole tablets orally/ vaginal pessaries& local ointment as per need . Treatment is given to both sex partners * total abstinence is observed till complete cure( for the infection is notorious to recur )
A strict sexual & genital hygiene needs to be followed by both partners.
Thanks.
