Suggest Treatment For Severe Headaches And Itching While On Celebrex

3 weeks ago my doctor put me on Celebrex and the side effects were severe. Especially itching and a continuous headache/migraine. I have been on Mobil for 3 days and the migraines are so severe I am virtually incapacitated (sp). Are severe migraines a side effect of Mobil?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to get a neurologist review done and to rule out NSAIDS an overuse headache in your case.

However, Acetaminophen or Naproxen are preferable for such headaches. For controlling attacks Triptan or beta blockers like propanol may be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
