Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I choked on a pea five days ago and instantly got a headache. It has persisted ever since, but seems to come in waves. I have tried ibuprofen, Tylenol, Valium (thought I might have pulled a muscle in my neck) and finally Vicodin. Nothing alleviates the pain completely.
As per my opinion choking is not related to the headache as there seem to be no correlation between the two. It also doesn't seem to be related to muscle pull over your neck. I would advise you to get yourself investigated for the cause of headache and get the cause treated, if found. I also would like you to keep your mind diverted from the choking incident, it may help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
