Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache And Vomiting

Hi! I have had a severe heAdache for 3 days; very queasy stomach with 1 incident of vomiting. Pain has woken me up and prevented me from going back to sleep. Pain is from the temples up and down the back of my skull. Any guidance is much appreciated!

Hello,

It would have been useful if you had provided some more info on the previous history, whether you have suffered any headaches in the past.

Also, some info on your age, other conditions such as high blood pressure, sinusitis etc would have been useful.

I would try first an over the counter painkiller such as Ibuprofen.

If it's not working and if you have no history of headaches in the past, there are no other evident causes such as high blood pressure or fever then I would see a doctor even in the ER in order to consider head imaging.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
