Suggest Treatment For Severe Eczema

Hi, I am a female over 50 year old. Some of my symptoms of hormone imbalance and first signs of menopause I experienced were intense skin rashes (eczema) from hot flashes, weight gain and sleep disturbances. Exercise daily, good diet, taking black cohosh and wild yam seem help a bit. I am currently using ezcema relief from Gold Bond to moisturizing my skin but there are two ezcema spots on both arms stayed red. I used cortison, neosporin help only about 30%. Please reply with your advice.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have eczema, well there can be many reasons for eczema like cosmetics products , pets , pollens , certain viruses and bacteria , weather , food like nuts and seafood . In your case the probable reasons is seasonal allergy and due to hormonal changes. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep yourself away from open environment. You should use air condition and continue taking anti histamine like benadryl and apply cold compresses to affected area and apply moisturizer . If condition doesn't get improve or get worse then consult allergy specialist for proper examination . Doctor will take history and try to find out the trigger factor . Doctor may order allergy test . Doctor may give adrenaline short or may hospitalize .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
