Suggest Treatment For Severe Dry Cough
My husband has been having this dry hacking cough for about a week now it sounds like it s in his chest with his lungs I m not sure but we got the buprenex DM but it still doesn t seem like it s doing the job is there anything else that he could take and he has no insurance thank you

Buprenex DM would be a fairly strong cough medicine, so there's likely not another medicine that is going to help very much. However, if he has any allergy symptoms an antihistamine/decongestant combination like Claritin-D or Zyrtec-D might help some. Unfortunately, he will likely just need to wait for the cough to resolve on its own, usually a cough from a virus can last up to 10-14 days, so he should be improving over the next week.
