Suggest Treatment For Severe Depression And Anxiety

My husband was prescribed Aricept January 15 due to MCI. His personality has changed consirably. He was hospitalized due to depression and anxiety. He was worried about everything at first, now he has went from one extreme to another, which is not good. He wants to spend money all the time (money that we have saved for retirement), and he says he just doesn t give a rat s ass ... I don t like his attitude anymore. He will argue with me and our oldest son over petty things. What can I do?

Hello,

I think family problems are the main reason to your query. It is better to consult your counselor first rather than your doctor.

If he has depression (not talking, or not eating or over eating or always keeps himself isolated), consult your physician/psychiatrist. They will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
