Suggest Treatment For Severe Chest Pain And Arm Pain

Hi, my husband has been having considerable amounts of chest pain on his left side that go into the left arm and neck. When this happened for the first time the other night we took him to the ER where they ran a bunch of tests just to send him home with a diagnosis of CHEST PAIN. It had happened 2 more times since. He has also noticed that when these happen that he burps quite a bit. What can we do? What is this.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe chest pain and arm pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , angina or chest infection . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination and rule out more serious condition . Doctor may order certain tests like ECG , TMT , troponin t test along with complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe isosorbide nitrate , aspirin , betablockers , furosemide and sedative , Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist for chest infection or gastroenterologist for acid reflux . For now take proper rest , eat light and non spicy , also take antacid after every meal .
