I have been having back pain on and off for the last few weeks and was wondering if it was cause for concern. It originates from around my my left shoulder blade and steals my breath away because it s sharp and grabs all of my attention. Once it starts I m pretty much useless for the night because it comes back if I move wrong, and just about any movement qualifies as wrong. Sleeping on a heating pad seems to mostly fix it for the next morning, if I don t tweak it again the next day. I ve pinched nerves in my hip and neck before (I have diagnosed Neck-Tongue syndrome) and it seems very similar to pinching at my hip which is caused by hypermobility. I am diagnosed with RA as well.
