Suggest Treatment For Severe Arm Pain After Injecting Methamphetamine Into The Arm

I ve just recently started shooting up meth in a regular basis, but I have very small veins and it s easy to miss. Over the past couple days I ve missed in my arm a couple times. My arm is now in severe pain and is not and red in a area from my elbow about halfway to my wrist the whole inner arm area. It s a little puffy but not swollen severely like an absest it hurts really bad but I m scared and embarrass to go to Dr. What can u do

Hi.

It can be an irritated vein or Superficial Phlebitis ..
It occurs due to any injury to the vein, any impaired venous flow or coagulation disturbance..

If you are missing the vein and injecting again and again then trauma to blood vessels and even soft tissues can lead to inflammation and swelling along with pain and reduced mobility in certain cases..

It is commonly not complicated and resolves gradually.

He can take anti inflammatory medicine like Advil or Motrin and do warm (not hot) compresses over it..

Avoid pressing or massaging over it.
In case if it worsen consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..
