Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain When On Norethisterone
Hi, I have been taking norethisterone 5mg per day since September 2014 for endometriosis. for some times now I have been having some abdominal pain which is similar to when having a period but yet since I have started taking the norethisterone I have stopped having my period. At times the pain is quite severe and the doctor has prescribed Mefenamic Acid.
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
This pain is the part of endometriosis. If no abnormal bleeding and other complications of the disease itself, then I think there is no issue to be concerned.
If pain is unbearable, take Ibuprofen800mg twice daily. It will help you a lot in this pain relief. The period like cramps and pain responds best to Ibuprofen.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
Best Regards!
