Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted the details of your mother's illness.

The details are incomplete and if would help if you are able to upload her MRI or CT scan brain report. If there are EEG reports, it would be more helpful.

It appears that she has bacterial infection in the blood (septicaemia or sepsis). This can cause seizures and loss of consciousness.

Treatment would consist of broad spectrum antibiotics and use of anti-epileptic medications.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Dr Sudhir Kumar MD (Internal Medicine), DM (Neurology)
