Like,all the family members or roomies should be treated at the same time, as if anyone in the house remains uncured, than there is always chance of recurrence. Wash your all the clothes linen bedsheets pillow covers and all that in hot water and let it dry in hot sunlight.and do it many times, so to kill the mites in clothes.otherwise they will reinfest on you. In medical treatment you must take tab ivermectin 12 mg adult dose.once weekly. ..for at least 2 weeks.. and permethrin 5% cream to be applied all over body except face .make sure no area is left unapplied except face.. and continue antihistamines like levocetrizine 5mg tab at night for few weeks as itching may be there because of allergy to residual body parts of dead mites in the skin.. In Norwegian scabies, creams containing Sulphur 6 percent and 3 percent salicylic acid in petroleum base is very much helpful..to be applied at night time ..for 3 days..and in refractory cases methotrexate may have to be used. hope you get relief quickly .
