Suggest Treatment For Redness And Skin Thinning In Groin Area

Hello doctor, I am male 21 years and I am concerned about a little red discolouration and skin thinning in the groin area in an area about 5-10 cubic cm. it has also spread and includes the scrotal region now. It is not asssociated with any itching. It started around 2 months and now every day skin over the area is dry and flaky and with a peculiar odour and I have to remove it while bathing. I also had a history of taenia infection in the same area for which I used terbinaforce. I consulted a doctor and he diagnosed this as ACD and gave me fusidic acid ointment and cetrizine tablet but not much improvement was seen. Also I had a previous history of taenia infection as diagnosed my family physician and he prescribed me terbinaforce ointment it disappeared but there are still recurrences and now even I feel itching in my face and head too. This started about two months back. I was told that oral antifungals and topical drugs have to be used for this condition. So I kindly ask you to prescribe something for both the conditions.

Hi

Cavilon anti-fungal cream (miconazole 2%) for 2 weeks at least! Care of that area is imp otherwise will grow again, cleanliness, prevent humidity hot, improve immunity (Supradene single tab for 10 days). Healthy food lifestyle! (Onmel 100 mg for 2 weeks it can treat but any unusual symptom need to stop as it have side effects).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
