Suggest Treatment For Red Patches On The Lower Leg
Hi I have sunken in red patches on my lower legs it no contagious to anyone else but I seem to be getting more sometimes itchy I m sure wen I cut myself with razor makes more small ones it s not fungal doctor said it starts with the letter e I think and there is no cure and in most cases goes away by itself in 2 yrs it s been on my for 5 yrs ecolon is what she gave to help it do you know what this is called or what else it could b

1. do rash increases after cuts as you told above, a little?
2. do any of these present: headache, hypertension, jint pain, abdominal pain, fever, weight loss, please inform?
3. is there any bumps or blisters, any fluid coming out of anywhere?
Although, I would like to suggest some test:
1. Complete Blood Count including anti-neutrophilic cytoplasmic antibody
2. sedimentation rate or C-reactive protein (CRP)
3. Skin Scraping tests.
Meanwhile, you are suggested to start:
Prednisone 20 mg per day orally, for 21 days and then 7 days 5 mg orally per day. Totally 28 days therapy.
