OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

For local infection, you need to get a check up done to know what specific infection you have, bacterial / fungal or mixed and be treated accordingly. Also your partner has to be treated simultaneously to prevent recurrence of symptoms, if you are sexually active. Maintaining local hygiene by cleaning it with warm water only should help to maintain local hygiene, also antifungal powder available over the counter can help in relieving itching.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
