Suggest Treatment For Recurring Hives

Hello, I am determined to find the underlying causes of my recurring hives. At first, I thought they were spider bites or a delayed reaction to poison ivy because it occurred after I had gone camping. After they went away, I woke up in pelvic pain, unsure of the problem. Doctors told me that I might have an ovarian cyst, and that there was not really a way to identify it unless I got X-rays. All they did was prescribe me medication to relieve the pain and told me to return if the pain didn t go away. Soon enough, the hives kept reappearing weekly, sometimes lasting a week, and sometimes only a day. I had seen several doctors whom made little efforts to help me find the cause. I ve tracked everything down, and there is no pattern. I ve been diagnosed with chronic urticaria and tinea versicolor. However, that does not answer my questions. What is the underlying cause??? I read in other articles that urinary tract infections and athletes foot may be a reason behind the hives. And if I don t have UTI, or athletes foot, how do I track down what s wrong with me and what I can do to solve this issue? Please help me doctor.

Hello,
Thanks for the query,
You might have developed acute urticaria.
It is an allergic condition.
Anything including food, cloth, change in climate, pollens etc can cause urticaria.
You need to find out the cause.
Treatment can be with oral anti histamines.
Steroids like prednisolone are also helpful but cannot be used for long.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
