Suggest Treatment For Rashes On Penis After Treated Chlamydia

Hi, at first It was painful to urinate. I thought it was a uti so I got treated for that even though it came up negative. It went away but couples days later I got red bumps like razor burns above my penis and my penis was sensitive to touch and hurt during intercorse ( for my partner too).We both went to different doctors she went a couple days before me and her doctor said she had cymidia. I went to the doctor and got test and told them what my partner s doctor said. They did a swab test and treated me for cymidia. It went away I m couple days and they never called me so I just figured that was it. It has came back Maybe a month later. I called my doctor to get test results and she said they were negative. My symptoms are now mind rash and penis is mildly sensitive. No pain during urination

Hello,

Since you have a history of chlamydia and your partner is also affected, both of you are suggested to avoid sex for a couple of days. After taking the course of medicines prescribed by your treating doctor if your symptoms recur then it has not cured completely. Make sure that your partner had treatment done. Females often require hospitalization and treated with intravenous antibiotics and pain medications. Visit your treating doctor and get treated at the earliest. Both the partners are suggested to get the tests done every three months routinely to get treated accordingly (for positive test report).

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
