Suggest Treatment For Rashes In The Arms And Legs Caused By Flea-attack

Hi, I have have been attacked by hundreds of fleas on/6/3/16. On 6/5/16, we treated the whole house and and pets. After, my rash spread and worsened to my arms, hands, legs, ankles and feet. Now, I have joint swelling, especially in my left ankle and foot with excruciating pain! My Dr. said it may be HSP?? and wants to retest blood and urine on Tuesday. Could the bites have triggered this and should I worry? Thank you! Donna

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to flea attack. I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. I also suggest using Hydrocortisone cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
