Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heart Rate

I had a rapid heart rate or pulse 112 went to the emergency room and he gave me atenolol which I am o. But chad not take. And my pulse went Dow to around 39 after taking the atenolol during the day can I take my mirtazapine tonight as it is prescribed.

Hi welcome to HCM,
Your symptoms are suggestive of Sinus tachycardia. secondary to stress and anxiety.you need to take Atenelol but relatively at a lower dose,you can also take your Mirtazapine.Get an ECG,2D Echo,lipid profile,complete blood picture to rule out any abnormality in the heart.Also monitor your blood pressure and heart rate regularly.Get a Coronary angiogram by consulting your doctor.Continue your BP medication regularly.Exercise regularly for 30 min.take low salt high protein diet.Avoid stress and anxiety and try to slowly taper Mirtazapine drug.Report to your doctor immediately if you have symptoms like chest pain,palpitations,dizziness etc.Consult your cardiologist for expert management.
