Suggest Treatment For Pus Discharge From Mole On Side Of Head

I have a mole on the side of my head, it looks like its scabbed over. It use to seem bigger, but now it looks smaller and still looks nasty, and it also feels like its oozing with pus. Not alot, but a little bit. Its not itchy or bothering me, but it does feel stressful and I tend to overthink. So is it ok that this mole is oozing a little?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Pus discharge from a mole indicates that it has been infected.
You need to do the following:
1. Clean the mole twice daily with mild antiseptic like Savlon.
2. Apply Neomycin cream on that following that.
3. Take anti-inflammatory analgesic Tablet. Ibuprofen + Paracetamol combination twice a day for 3 days after food.
4. Take antibiotic Tablet. Amoxacillin + Clavulenic acid twice a day for 5 days.
Keep the wound clean and dry.
In case the infection does not subside or there is bleeding from the mole, you need to get a biopsy of the mole done and rule out cancer by histopathological examination.
In case it has turned into cancer, you need to get it excised completely by a Surgeon.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
