Suggest Treatment For Purple Bruise On The Back

Hello, I fell down the stairs on Saturday night and have deep purple bruises on my back. It hurts to move and trouble taking deep breaths. Hurts to sneeze, burp, hiccup, yawn. It s tender to the touch and I can feel something move when I touch it in a certain spot. I m wondering if I should see a doctor since it hadn t gotten any better or if it ll just take time to heal.

Hi,

Since it is hurting, take Ibuprofen or Combiflam/Acetaminophen. You can apply ointment Thrombophob (Heparin) at the affected side of bruise to help reduce the blood clots below the skin. (do not massage)

Visit ER, get physically examined, get X-Ray done to rule out any fracture. Do not take unnecessary stress. Stay at rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
