Suggest Treatment For Pricking Sensation In Throat And Watery Eyes

good afternoon doctor.

I have this pricking sensation in my throat sometimes and feel like coughing and when I drink water I am fine. I don't have any congestion in my chest and only my throat area seems to have some phlegm. looks like some allergy. suddenly I get this sensation and I cough and my eye starts watering when I drink water I am fine.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pricking sensation in throat along with coughing and some phlegm and watery eyes can be due to some allergic reaction and the most common causes can be dust, animal danders, pollen, certain grasses and trees and also perfumes and fragrances can also be a cause..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can do allergic tests to rule out the exact cause of symptoms and treat you accordingly..
Anti allergics like levocetrizine, Allegra etc can be advised..
You can also be advised steroid nasal sprays..
You can also be given an Immunotherapy to reduce the severity of allergic symptoms..
