Suggest Treatment For Pressure In Right Ear

Nobody seems to be able to tell me why I have so much pressure in my right ear only. I have tried to plug my nose and pop my ear it does not work. I also saw a doctor 3 months ago he said there is no infection, but he gave 7 days of Augmentin it did nothing

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pressure inside the ear which does not get relieved by popping the ear by pinching the nostrils seems to be most probably due to fluid accumulation behind the eardrum and blocked eustachian tube..

It can even occur after a bout of cold as the ear and throat are connected via Eustachian tube ..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray, MRI, otoscopy etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, oral as well as nasal decongestants likeXylometazoline nasal sprays.
Along with it steam inhalation and chewing chewing gum can help..
In case of no improvement in 15 days surgical drainage by making a small incision through the eardrum can help..
