Suggest Treatment For Premature Atrial Contraction

Hi, my name is Tres, 57 years old. Experience an episode with my heart. Started beating out of rhythm, making coughing, pressure in my chest like it was taking my breath. No pain. Very scary. Went the ER. Said I had PAC. Also have a mild leaky heart valve in the left part of my heart. I have been tired after that episode since the Feb. No medicine was prescribed. What can I do? My heart still beats out of rhythm.

Hi,

You need to consult your cardiologist and get electro-physical studies done. And in case these are normal then no need to worry. Try to avoid too much caffeine and strenuous exercise.

Just relax your heart is doing good.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
