I am currently taking fish oil, Vit C, Vit D supplement each ady and doing towel and wall stretches. Using ice packs on hell which helps, it feels better and then the pain comes back, been dealing with this since the last of June saw doctor about three weeks ago. What should I be doing? General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You seem to be doing most of the things to help with the pain. Another possible treatment that can be tried is physiotherapy. Having exercises that gradually stretch the tendon may result in relief of the pain.
Meanwhile, you may use ibuprofen 600 mg every 6 hours after food and continue with the ice packs locally.

Sometimes, if plantar fasciitis is chronic, it may be a bit resistant to treatment and some patience is needed while the measures are continued. Rarely, surgery is needed, if all the other measures fail.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
