Suggest Treatment For Pins And Needles Sensation In The Head

Yesterday I had a pressure headache all day long. It felt like the top of my head was going to blow. I took Sudafed which usually relieves it when it s sinus related. It wasn t until I took Goodies Liquid that it felt better. Now today I keep getting a pinching feeling on the top of my head. Like someone is pinching me or needles are sticking me. Weird.. what should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Pins and needle sensations in the head can be treated with over the counter medications if it is due to cold or infections/sinus. If it is due to serious conditions like migraine, diabetic neuropathy, MS, thyroid issues, high BP, neuro-degenerative conditions, head injuries, stress / anxiety, etc it can be treated with medications, physiotherapy and lifestyle changes. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Neurologist or ENT and get all the blood tests, Nerve conduction tests and biopsy, X-Ray PNS or other required imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend on the clinical conditions & the reports obtained. In the meantime, take adequate sleep, exercise regularly, relax and avoid stress. Take a team inhalation 2-3 times a day. You can take combiflam, one SOS for relief from pain.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
