I feel pin pricking pain when my husband s penis try to go inside the vagina. I am 48 years old. what should I do? I went to a doctor . He has given CLINDAZOLE to apply inside the vagina for 7 days & visna gel to apply locally. Applying the above I got no successful result. should I to do PAP SMEAR TEST OF CERVIX?Please advice.

From history it seems that at this age there might be having dryness of vagina producing atrophic vaginitis.
This might be due to low estrogen level at this age.
Local application of estrogen cream like Novelon will give you relief.
