Suggest Treatment For Phlegm Stuck In My Throat After Heart Surgery

Hi dr , a week ago I had heart surgery and any home now but have this feeling of phlegm stuck in my throat so trying to cough to clear it. Someone suggested eucalyptus inhaler/steam. Is it ok. I m on bp tablets,warfarin,aspirin,anti cholesterol tablets. Thank you. B

Sir,you can use cough expectorant containing Ambroxol and Guaifenesin.
Steam inhalation would also help.
Antihistaminic (like Cetrizine) might also help.
Avoid eating cold /oily/very sweet food.
Avoid dust and other pollutants.
Drink lots of fluids(warm).
