Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother who is 81 has had shoulder pain since 12 months ago x did it by releasing a catch on the door above her head . She has had many test x the latest was a MRI x the results were that the bone marrow had slightly changed x that they were looking at anaemia . Since then she had blood tests and all came back clear . No anaemia x her red x white blood cell count was perfect . We are a bit confused to what it could be . Does change of bone marrow mean cancer even though her blood count came back perfect
According to your complains such kind of pain can due to compression of nerve and muscle strain on the shoulder.
When such patient comes to my hospital we usually take x-ray spine to see for the severity of nerve compression. Another the differential can be nerve compression due to disc bulge which may need MRI for confirmation.
Medication like methylcobalamin with muscle relaxant and analgesic will reduce pain, you can take them consulting your treating doctor. You may consult a physiotherapist for further guidance. He may start TENS, or ultrasound which is helpful in your case. You may need to take rest for early healing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
