Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been suffering with a rash on my right ankle area for over a year that looks like shingles from the pictures I ve seen. I did have chicken pox as a child. My doctor recommended Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream which I have tried but was told not to uxe it for long periods of time. It helps somewhat but the rash continues to bother me. Do you have another recomendation? Bev Smith

- continue ointment therapy
- culture swab or polymerase chain reaction for swab of the area
- prescription of
@ systemic corticosteroids
@ broad spectrum antibiotics
@ anti histamine in case of itching
@ multi vitamins and minerals as supportive agents
@ control of blood sugar
